    Deer rifle for my fiance

We've been looking at deer rifles for my fiance and I'm trying to debate between a 270 and a 243 for her. trying to come up with something with a decent amount of Knocked Out power but not something with a whole lot of kick what are your opinions.

243 would be a great option for sure!!
Been a great deer cartridge for a long time, and great for smaller shooters as well.
Great bullet selection, brass can be had pretty easily, and it is a good target caliber as well

That's what I have bad at leading towards for her what are they that gets hard as she is a left-handed shooter and left-handed guns are in limited Supply around here. But if I get her a bolt action right hand and she'll still be able to shoot it and then if I want to use it I can steal it

    Good idea
Hard to beat having at least 1 243 in the family

243 would be my first choice, followed closely by 7mm-08, and then 260rem.

.243 is a great round for deer and easy on the shoulder. 7mm-08 is a good one as well. But how about a single shot? CVA Hunter and compact hunter are affordable, accurate and ambidextrous. I have one in 7mm 08 and another in 45/70adcold not be more pleased.

Nothing wrong with a .243 or any others mentioned. And, I don’t even have one yet myself. But, I like different stuff. I always wanted a .257 Roberts for deer. Little more rare, but definitely will git r done!

Bought my gf,who is 5'2" and weighs about 120lbs,a savage axis 7mm-08. She can shoot the hell out it. She claims theres little recoil. I've shit it and not near as much recoil as my 270.
